Cooking Tips & Lists

For quick and easy outdoor cooking, it's best to prepare in advance. You'll find it much more fun if you plan and pack everything in an organized manner. The first thing to do is decide what foods you wish to cook. Look through recipes, plan out all of your meals, and pack all of the ingredients. A convenient way of doing this is to make a meal chart for every day that you will be camping. Make a list of ingredients and shop accordingly.

To save time, you can pre-measure the ingredients and store them in separate plastic storage bags. Label them precisely, stating the ingredient and measurement. It's handy to chop up the vegetables and divide the meat up as well. If you like hamburgers, form the patties and separate them with waxed paper for easy placement on the stove or grill.
